Qt Creator / Qt

After executing qt creator, neither its welcome button nor help button activate anything.
The qt forum advise me to contact the Mageia packagers, so here I am.

What Mageia version and what desktop environment do you use? Did you isntall Qt Creator from Mageia repositories?

Here at least the welcome button works just fine. See the screenshot.

The help button only shows:

The page could not be found!

Error loading: qthelp://org.qt-project.qtcreator.300/doc/index.html

Check that you have one or more documentation sets installed.

Seems to be this issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1077410
also posted as Mageia bug report already: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12866

I'll take a look.

Mageia 4.1
Everything Installed from the repository.

Advice from the qt forum re help files is if .qch files cannot be found on <baase qt directory>/qtbase/docs
is to switch to qtbase and run make docs or nmake docs.

configure fails though with "the test for linking against libxcb and support libraries failed!"

However lib64xcb-1-1.9,1-2.mga4.x86_64 is already installed.

The problem is not the .qch files for qtbase, but those for qt-creator are missing, someone forgot to run make qch_docs for qt-creator.
I'm currently testing the fix from Fedora, which is also linked from the Mageia bug report abovementioned.

Hint: Your issue is that you need libxcb-devel package if you want to link anything against it.
But that will not help. Also, qt -doc packages are available from the repos.

I'm glad not to need another brain scan. I'll keep a watch for your results.
Thank you.
