HI, Using Mageia 3, up until now flawless. I am not able to add new pprograms or update exixting if needed. :cry:
How do I fix this?? A new install woulf be painful!! :(
I suspect this happened updating Skype.

If the rpm database has become corrupted, it can be rebuilt. Execute the following commands in a root terminal:
Code: Select all
rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm --rebuilddb

OK, done, works just fine. Made a note of the instructions on paper and filed it in case it happens again. :D
