Running Viber 32 bit via WINE

Installed Viber 32 bit for windows via WINE. Installation finished without errors. However, when i tried to run the application, it returned the following error:

"This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows".

Any suggestions to solve the issue?

Why don't u just install viber for linux?

32 bit viber for linux is not available so i had to use windows 32 bit version

They don't support in linux 32bit 64bit only.

I am able to install Viber through Q4Wine. Try running that graphical front-end but i am receiving an error in Viber that cannot detect my internet connection. Better think of upgrading to 64bit OS if u can. All the best!

same problem with me. i have used viber 32 before. maybe the new version is creating a problem. Naver LINE is working fine thru WINE

Not sure why you all want to use the windows version via wine, if the native version works just fine.

Still works the same way, although you need to adapt the version numbers for the download of alien to 8.94.
Result is viber-4.2.2.6-2.x86_64.rpm, now the binary is at /opt/viber/Viber and starts just fine:
