Trying to install Chromium from the application section of the Welcome to Mageia start up application. Every time I click install on Chromium-browser section, I'm greeted with a message, "no package named chromium-browser'. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Chromium is in the Tainted repo. Do you have that enabled?

As we say in Release notes. https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_9_Rel ... ernet_apps

But I think we should raise a bug to improve the behaviour a bit regarding Mageiawelcome, to help user enabling tainted when needed-

- And then also to note, as we tell in https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_9_Rel ... positories :
"The Tainted repository is available but disabled by default, i.e., it's completely opt-in. It is a good idea to verify your region's laws before using packages from this repository. "

On a related note, please be aware that Chromium is different from Google Chrome. Have a look at the disambiguation in our MAQeia: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2053
