SOLVVED--Unable to install kernel-desktop-devel

I just upgraded to Mageia 9 and have had a lot of trouble with installing the nVidia driver.
In another post I saw that part of the issue could be the need to install the kernel-desktop-devel package.
When I try to do this it fails with the following:

The following packages can't be installed because they depend on packages
that are older than the installed ones:
glibc-devel-2.36-45.mga9
gcc-12.3.0-3.mga9
kernel-desktop-devel-6.4.9-4.mga9

I am trying to install kernel-desktop-devel-6.4.9-4.mga9.
kernel-desktop-6.4.9-4.mga9 installed without issue.

with update for glibc I was able to install the kernel-devel
