Glad to find you once again in Mageia too, Linuxbuild. In short, I use Mageia 8 on Thinkpad T430. I followed your instruction but it was failed. However, I managed to register my hardware and here is my Mageia hardware probe link

My workaround is to use the AppImage (downloaded from here
https://github.com/linuxhw/hw-probe/releases) and run the command lines:

$ sudo ./the-file-name.AppImage -all -upload

Reading logs ... Ok
