I'm in and out of various distros for over a decade. Not an advanced user by the way.
I've been searching for post-install tips for Mageia 7.1. I just installed it last night and at first I didn't get my WiFi to work then randomly going back and forth the Network (during installation) screen suddenly it decided to be able to detect my wifi card. How strange; I'm not complaining but I'm worried things like this might suddenly cause the WiFi to no longer work after a few days/weeks/months, maybe I'm paranoid but we'll see.
Anyway, any post-install tips you'd recommend? The ones on the web are either outdated or too short of a list.
If it helps you to recommend what's necessary let me describe my usage pattern; I'm a light user I guess, I don't really game on this machine, just movies and streaming and some web building (on Windows I used XAMPP).
I've done all updates for now including installing Nvidia driver. Just wondering if there is something else I need to do? It feels so different with Mageia; with other distros there are like so many things to do for post-install but for Mageia, it looks complete and I feel like I don't need to use the CLI at all (I'm on KDE btw). I'm not sure where to look and I plan to use Mageia 7.1 to replace my Windows 10 for a very long time. I've wiped my entire hard disk so, I'm gonna dive in really deep hehe.
