Netapplet/Mgaapplet pop-ups off bottom of screen after mga7

Has anyone else seen this weird one?

I've just upgraded another machine to Mageia 7 (yes, I know I should have done it months ago but this one has been a struggle due to lack of ssd space). It is using Xfce with the panel at the bottom of the screen. Most pop-ups are fine - appearing above the panel icon. However, Netapplet and Mgaapplet appear to be trying to draw their pop-ups off the bottom of the screen. I just get a black bar appear at the very bottom of the screen below the icon.

The problem appears to be unique to these applets as if I cause VLC to appear in the notifications area then its pop-up is in the correct place.

I can reproduce that, both in Xfce and in Cinnamon, so it looks like a bug in the applets, not in Xfce.
