[ Solved ] FlatPak install error for Telegram

Hello,

I wanted to install Telegram desktop in my Mageia 7. I tried the get-telegram package which is a simple script to download telegram desktop but the website https://desktop.telegram.org/ is not accessible in India ( via Reliance ISP) , seems like the have blocked the telegram somehow. So I tried to install using FlatPak but I met some error as below.

Can you please show the output of

flatpak remote-list --show-disabled --show-details

Apart from that, even if you get the flatpak installed, if the telegram servers are blocked, how do you think telegram will work without those ?

It turns only only that the https://desktop.telegram.org/ is blocked / not loaded. But I successfully downloaded/installed using a tar ball file from this link

https://updates.tdesktop.com/tlinux/tsetup.1.8.2.tar.xz which I got from https://tdesktop.com/linux/current.php . Now I can run and interact with Telegram activity.

There is another workaround to install Discover ( for KDE) or Gnome-Software ( for GNOME) and you can download the flatpak file for telegram and open with Discover / Gnome-Software.

You don't need either of those to install flatpaks, you can do that directly with flatpak: http://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/using-flatpak.html
