Mageia 6 UEFI Doesn't Show Window Boot Option

Postby chioption » Nov 11th, '18, 17:49

I followed the guide from the Wiki, https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Installing_o ... I_firmware, to install Mageia 6 on my computer with Windows 10 operating system. Everything went smoothly. However, after installing the Mageia 6, the system boots directly into Mageia without showing the window option. I went into the bios following some of the suggestions from the forum to try to set it up but it hasn't worked. When I log into the Mageia and issue the command df -h, I could see the windows installed as: /dev/sda3 at /media/window.

Just to be clear, I have limited knowledge of the technical intricacies. I don't know if this is the problem. I checked under /boot/EFI/EFI and I only see Mageia under here and no windows. If this is the problem, could someone guide me on how to add the windows here as well?

My hardware information is:
description: Notebook
product: 20BXCTO1WW (LENOVO_MT_20BX_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPad T450s)
vendor: LENOVO
version: ThinkPad T450s
Model name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5600U CPU @ 2.60GHz

I appreciate your anticipated assistance.

Hi

Is Windows10 in hibernate mode rather than shut down?
