upgrade question sysconfig harddrake2 kernel

Postby hankivy » Nov 29th, '17, 23:29

During the recent upgrade of harddrake, a configuration file is being changed.
In /etc/sysconfig/harddrake2/

kernel is
Code: Select all
IS_LAPTOP=true
KERNEL=4.9

kernel.rpmnew is
Code: Select all
KERNEL=2.6

Neither is correct. My system is a tower, not a laptop. And uname says the kernel release is "4.9.56-desktop-1.mga6".

:?: Do you recommend I use this?
Code: Select all
KERNEL=4.9
:?:

Why do you think IS_LAPTOP=true is a problem and what do you expect to gain from that change?

I have absolutely NO idea what "IS_LAPTOP=true", will do or not do on my system? It is just not a laptop. My system is a Lenovo IdeaCentre K410.

Then please leave it as it is, that was my point.
