MegaSync Client for Mageia 9

MegaSync Client is in BlogDrake's repositories ) 6.1.1.0 for MGA 9

I Thanks to MLO community for the collaboration with the first versions of this package.

To install just add the repo with this command

For Mageia 9 (i586 and x86_64) (You not have to do this if you already have our repository):
For 32bit systems, Change x86_64 to i586

Code: Select all

urpmi.addmedia --wget --distrib http://ftp.blogdrake.org/mageia/mageia'$RELEASE'/x86_64
 

If have some issue with previous command use

urpmi.addmedia --wget --distrib http://ftp.blogdrake.org/mageia/mageia'$RELEASE'/x86_64
 

and install

Code: Select all

urpmi megasync

Warning: For Mageia 9 i586 I can't include megasync.

You can install the file managers complements:

dolphin-megasync
nautilus-megasync
nemo-megasync
thunar-megasync

You can select 2 themes for the status icons in the system's tray
megasync-statusicons-normal The common already known full color icons and
megasync-statusicons-mono Monochromatic icons



You can switch at any time just install the one you like, and the package manager will ask to uninstall the other.


Mageia 8 and previous is now unsupported and we lost all the rpm.

And remember that our repository can be added to dnf repositories

KNOW ISSUE:
The application keep running in background even if you quit from the icon in task bar
Is recommended to end manually megasync or the icon in task bar will not load if you run again

I not tested file manager extensions beyond clean install, please consider that I just can fix missing requires if exists

Perhaps it could be built for Mageia at some time.

Yes, but in the French MLO site they keep updating, last one is of September

Our last version is megasync-3.6.6.0 for maga6 so is good time to update at less the mga6 version

Its in the blogdrake repository, see the first message of this thread for instructions
This time the build for x86_64 was made for one of our volunteers so i forget to notify the MLO community

Hi Katnatek,
I am having trouble syncing my megasync folders between Mageia linux and windows boxes. It seems that the megasync desktop client in Mageia 9 is outdated, it is 5.2.x, whereas the current version is 6.1. But the blogdrake repository is down. Is another place to find the client?
