Do you think it's not working fine, or is it not working fine? And if the latter, what in particular doesn't work fine?

first of all , thank you for quick response,
it is working with kde desktop not with gnome, but even in kde desktop i cant change colours for day time like f.lux
i used to f.lux settings which give my eyes a better relaxation during day time.
regards.

I've been using redshift on Mageia 5 with KDE4 and still use it now on Mageia 6 with Plasma 5, it's working just fine for me.

It's intentionally kept quite simple though, if you need advanced configuration features like with f.lux, you might indeed be somewhat disappointed.

There is also redshift-qt available it's qt5 based redshift gui,you could file package request in Mageia bugzilla.
https://github.com/Chemrat/redshift-qt
I build it locally and it's working better than gtk one in lxqt and kde4.
