first login

New to Linux, just installed Mageia 5. On first login I get "Welcome to localhost" and it won't let me login. What do i do?

What image/media did you use to install Mageia?

Classic installation 32 bit on older computer.

And what desktop environment did you select? Also, you do get a graphical login, right?
Please see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Display_Managers and tell us what you see by comparing with the pictures. Which looks closest to what you see?

Don't get any of those!! Just a small square in the middle of display that says Welcome to localhost login; _________

This is not de the default display manager, so either you chose a custom installation
or your installation is not complete or broken. So again my previous question:

What desktop did you select during installation? Or what package selection did you choose during installation?
Also please provide the full filename of the image you used and the md5sum.
