Huawei 4G dongle

Postby milan » Apr 26th, '15, 07:51

Hello.
1.issue
After adding new network connection for Huawei E182 4G dongle when I am trying to configure this new connection configuration window looks like I am configuring lan connection. (IP adress and so on)

2. issue
Everytime I turn off my computer, detach/attach device, I have to create new connection. I can see old connection in MCC but cannot connect device.
Dongle led is blinking but not permanently shining.
3. issue
How to change connection name? (wwp0s29u1u1i1 is really ugly)
4. issue
I have newer dongle Huawei 3372, but this does not work. This is an older issue, but is there anybody who knows latter news about this problem?

What do you select in MCC when configuring the connection? GPRS/EDGE/3G?

Please show the output of
Code: Select all
ls -al /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg*
ls -al /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/cellular.d

See the section "I don't like this, how do I disable this?" at http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Softwar ... faceNames/

That's a topic for a separate thread.
