[DONE] Kwrite does not open after upgrade

Postby mackowiakp » Feb 4th, '14, 14:45

After upgrade M3 to M4 KWrite does not start if I click on txt file from Dolphin or rihgt-click and "open using...". But it is possible to rum KWrite from command line terminal. Is any way to make it working in Dolphin?

How does kwrite relate to dolphin? You mean via open with?
See https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_4_Err ... ry_drivers and https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11946 for more details and workarounds.

So bugfixing necessary... We have to wait. Workaround - add "strace" in kwrite call in systemsetings. Now it work in Dolphin.

Which part of the thread did you miss? It's a problem with the nvidia driver, how should we fix that?
Workarounds are available, for a proper fix you need to complain to nvidia.
