[SOLVED] Firefox 64 bit

Postby nw1456 » Aug 26th, '13, 14:58

Hi
I've been using the bundled FF 64bit V.17 . It works fine but I needed an extension that will only work with 19+ . Downloaded FF 22. 64 bit and it runs fine but youtube will only play some videos not all, and insists I need to install plugins.

How do I manually associate 22 with the flash plugin? I'm assuming that's the problem as it works great with FF 17. 64 bit.

Thanks

Forgot to say that I've tried chromium 64 bit, and youtube videos work perfectly.

Assuming that you have installed Firefox 22 in your home directory, then I think that it should be sufficient to copy /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so to ~/.mozilla/plugins.

Yep, that worked Jim, thanks. Didn't have a plugin folder so I made one and whacked .so into it, worked a treat.
