[SOLVED] Installed fine, but blinking cursor on boot.

Hi guys,

As the topic says, I installed mageia (and all went smoothly), but when I boot my PC I get a black screen with a blinking cursor and nothing else. Fairly sure you'll need more information, but not sure what... so let me know and I'll get it for you this evening. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of "Oh Sh!t, it doesn't work.".
First what version did you install 1, 2. 3 or Cauldron and what media, Dual-CD, Live-CD/DVD or Installation DVD?
Also tell us as much as you can about your hardware, Desktop or Laptop, manufacturer and model, video card etc.

Sorry for the late reply but life got in the way.

I'm not seeing anything in your hardware that would cause your problem.
Did you verify the download and the burn of the DVD?

Ah, I meant to post. It was the hot plug HDD config in the BIOS for some reason. Turned that on and voila. No idea why that was necessary though.
