New Mageia user needs help

Hello, I tested mageia and I love it!
My favourite Mageia version is cauldron, because I love to have an unstable pc.
I've got some questions to ask you:

How can I install steam in mageia?
How can I install bumblebee in mageia?
How can I install primus for bumblebee in mageia?

Primus seems not packaged yet, you may need to compile that yourself.

Well, in cauldron bumblebee is in the repos and will install all dependencies. Works well for me.

never heard about primus til now. looks interesting. i think i'll give it a try next days.

Primus is awesome... With optirun, I got maximum 50fps in minecraft with maximum settings, but with primusrun I got maximum 195 fps in minecraft with maximum settings
But in windows 8 I can only get 30fps...
Take that windows!
I moved to opensuse, yesterday my kde flipped in mageia cauldron, I'll wait for mageia3 RC

Hi all,

I just tried to test Primus, followed the simple installation instructions from their Readme:

Code: Select all

LIBDIR=/usr/lib64 make && CXX=g++\ -m32 LIBDIR=/usr/lib make

That replaced my libGL libraries, at which point nothing worked (primusrun, optirun, or anything else in the graphics department).

Is anyone using Primus on Mageia these days? Do you have installation instructions that work?
