Desktop stop sleep

Postby freetibet » Dec 19th, '12, 01:26

Hi,
I would like to stop the desktop going to sleep ever…
and also possibly set auto login to a desktop and launch some applications…
How can I do this …?
It's for a CCTV system...

Maybe you want to tell which desktop you're using currently?
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

in a terminal (as the user, not root) try these and see if it helps:

xset s off
xset -dpms

Of course make sure you have no screensavers activated, too.
