hello
I installed mageia 1b2 on amd quad core
can not connect unless manually editing resolv.conf
in this way

# Dynamic resolv.conf (5) file for glibc resolver (3) generated by resolvconf (8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND - YOUR CHANGES WILL BE overwritten
nameserver 192.168.1.1
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 193.70.152.15
nameserver 193.70.152.25

This file was originally
# Dynamic resolv.conf (5) file for glibc resolver (3) generated by resolvconf (8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND - YOUR CHANGES WILL BE overwritten
nameserver 192.168.1.1
thanks

Strange.
You shoud fill a bug report for this problem.

A bug report is definitely in order.
This same thing happened in one of the cooker releases leading to 2010.0 and seemed to only affect certain routers and no explanation of what the problem was was ever given.

The work around was to do a "Manual configuration" of the interface.

In your case that would be

IP Address = 192.168.XX
Netmask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway = 192.168.1.1
DNS server = 8.8.8.8
