Compiz Fusion can eliminate video tearing

I discovered that Compiz Fusion can eliminate video tearing in VLC when enabled and properly working (test with desktop cube). At least this is true on Intel Sandy Bridge Laptops. KWin did not achieve this, and neither did running with no 3D effects. Weird but true. :o
