Hello All
fresh from Mandriva and happily installed Mageia onto my new i3 ,4gb toshiba. But have a quick question.
On first install was shown I had 4 gb of ram and 4 was available ( I believe it was late ).
Then there was the update which included a kernel update - and now I only have 3.17 gb to use.
Which if any would be best for the i3 with 4 gbs ( at present would like to increase this to help with virtualbox ) am running the 32bit flavour as 64bit didn't work well.
thanks

AFAIK Mageia kernels are compiled the same as Mandriva ones. i.e. kernel-desktop supports up to 4GB of RAM and kernel-server up to 64GB (Not sure what the differences are for kernel-netbook)
kernel-desktop should give the best performance even of it is not using all the memory available.
