you may be right that its not recognised, but we re not pycic and cant read your
mind to find out any more info.
would realy help if you posted it upfront.
hence why i posted the help us to help you post.
so lsusb, will identify wether the reader is being seen on the usb bus.
we may see an id thats not yet supported by the kernel, or we might see nothing indicating a connectivity issue.
what motherboard is this, see my post about iommu and gigabyte boards, ths can make
some usb ports not work.
theres al sorts of possibilities, but with nothing to go on its just guessing
