mageia doesn't turn off

hello to every one,
i'm a new user on mageia and i have a big problem,
when i click on the button to turn off my laptop it start to turn it off but after is locking and it doesn't turn off.

how i have to do???

Hi,
Which Mageia version ?
When the PC is locked, press on ESC and give the last messages.
Do you have NFS mounted partitions on this laptop ?
Are you sure to be update? -> check your repositories and in a console under root :
# urpmi --auto-update

i have mageia 3 kde and is updated, with mageia i have installed windows 7
this is the screen when in the konsole i've launched:

i forgot one thing, how have to do for install the decoder for vlc??

urpmi must be run as root. Enter
Code: Select all
su -

and then the root password. Then
Code: Select all
urpmi --auto-update

When the PC is "locked", press on ESC and give the last messages.

means that after you try to shut down and the laptop is "locked", press the ESC key and report here the text, if any, that appears on the screen.

Please make a separate post about vlc - we try to keep each thread to a single topic.
