Kernel : hddtemp has problem??

Postby metalinx » Jun 10th, '13, 21:22

It happened three times. When using (normally after login in KDE), linux show error message (in textmode).

Here are in the /var/log/kernel/errors.log

Code: Select all
Jun 11 01:41:57 localhost kernel: RIP  [<ffffffff810b874b>] module_refcount+0x2b/0xb0

...and /var/log/kernel/warning.log

Please report that as a bug, after searching if it hasn't been reported yet already: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_report_a_bug_properly

In the meantime you should be able to disable hddtemp via
Code: Select all
chkconfig hddtemp off
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!
