[SOLVED]rc.local not run at startup

Hi, I'm running cauldron upto date.

I have a firewall and proxy script that is usually started by rc.local

I usually restart the ethernet devices and also start httpd.

I moved away from the network manager looking after the eth devices because they would power down at the most inopportune moments. (to avoid power saving)

Now I have this problem of rc.local not running.

I have the check-box marked to run rc.local at boot with all the other services. not mandi, iptables, shorewall, squid and httpd.

Since finding this issue, yesterday or the day before... I have re-check all those boxes, but I still get no network after kde4 boots and plays it tune.

Any ideas? The script will run in invoked from the Konsole with or without X11.

Cheers, Glenn

My Mageia 3 system has rc.local in /etc/rc.d/
and my cauldron system has it in /etc/

I missed that bit....

I shows up in mcc system/manage system services...

Both systems are different(?) Eventually I found it myself.
