[BUG FOUND] client_netmask in squid.conf

Postby iron » May 24th, '13, 11:55

Hi everyone,
I've a machine with Mageia3 32bit and Squid 3.2.10

I want to see in Squid logs (access.log) truncated clients IPs or no client IPs (ie 192.0.0.0 instead of 192.168.2.53)
To achieve this goal I set the client_netmask parameter to 255.0.0.0 (tried also no_addr).

My goal is not reached because I can see in access.log the complete client IP addresses (ie 192.168.2.53)
This strange behaviour was also present in Mageia 2.

I've done some test with the original squid.conf shipped with Mageia3 and also with my own version of squid.conf (used without a glitch in a old Mandriva 2011 distro) with equal results. Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance
Iron
