Hi,

I received this SSD as a gift and the girl that gave it to me did not know it is not made for storage.
Can i use the cache in Linux?
In downloads i only see an executable for Windows.

What about this:

Thank you,

A. generous gift. I hope you get to use it.

from what I read flash cache enables a fast drive (ssd) to act as a cache for a slow drive. There is nothing special about the fast drive, it can be any model of ssd.
I suspect the OCZ Synapse is just an ordinary ssd with the Dataplex software bundled with it to perform the same function as flash cache.

when you plug it into your Linux system is it recognised as an ordinary drive? If so you could use it as an ordinary ssd .
