[Solved] Has anyone come up with this problem? I recently noticed that the time was incorrect on the PC, relative to my domestic radio controlled clock, which was odd, since NTP was supposed to be enabled. It would seem, that upgrading from Mageia 1 to mageia 2 had resulted in the loss of NTP. No problem. I simply re-ticked the box for NTP.. The machine responded with a request to insert the install disk, which I did. However the Mageia Control Center, which presumably was doing this failed to find the disk, although the machine had acknowledged that the disk was there, and was readable with the File manager. Just in case the disk was corrupt, I burned another DVD. This was treated just as the original. It was there, and was readable, but the install system would no acknowledge its presence. I did, in the end solve the impasse by ascertaining the package name, finding it in the File Manager and installing it from there, but it's not a system that I would want to use in the common run of things. I had noticed this earlier on seeking to install packages, but there, it was spasmodic and after a try or two, the disk would be seen and the package installed. I'm pretty sure that it's not a problem with the disk drive since it works perfectly well at everything else
