Hi there,

apart from the wifi light flashing, is there also any issue regarding the wifi connection itself or is it only a cosmetic issue ?

It would help if you could post the PCI vendor and product ID of your wifi chipset, and also attach a full normal log of a clean boot.

Code: Select all
lspcidrake -v
journalctl -ab > /tmp/journal.log

It is a cosmetic issue. The wifi works fine,

Code: Select all
ath5k           : Qualcomm Atheros|AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) [NETWORK_ETHERNET] (vendor:168c device:001c subv:1468 subd:0428) (rev: 01)

I don't see any mention of the wireless driver in the log excerpt.

Can you show the output of
Code: Select all
ll /sys/class/leds/ath5k*/trigger
cat /sys/class/leds/ath5k*/trigger

See also e.g. https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread. ... t-shouldnt)

Well, as mentioned in the link you can try to switch both receive and send triggers to none to see if that helps.

Yes, I may give that a try.

I think we have spent enough on this. Its a little annoying but I'm started to get used to the flashing. As I said earlier, wifi works fine.

Thank you doctor.
