Hello,

Is it possible to add mageia repositories to fedora and use something like "urpmi --auto --auto-update --replacefiles' ?

Possibly using dnf?.

I would like to update to mageia wiout loosing everything or having to reinstall..

Regards

No, that's not possible. Your best bet is probably to keep your /home partition and then reinstall.

I actually wanted to upgrade the raspberry pi version.

Is there a mageia raspberry pi .IMG file somewhere?. I found a very old one that does not boot.

Regards

I'm not aware that there are more recent images available.

One contributor created his own development images: https://github.com/markVnl/Mageia_SBC
Current cauldron packages should be available for ARM: http://pkgsubmit.mageia.org/arm-status.html#

This is probably the wrong place. I have a Pi400, and have tried unsuccessfully to boot the Mageia images on it. The bootup goes part way, finds one of the boot partitions then hangs. I have looked at the page in the Wiki, but seems to be too different. Is this a known bug?

Place is about right but you might get some response on mailing list, IRC or Matrix. There is some recent activity there :D.

Which image did you install? Was it from our mirrors? Note that the images themselves are not officially supported. At least not yet :o ;).

Did you read our Wiki page about that?

EDIT: Please open separate topic if you have more to say. That way it will be more visible and more on topic title ;).

The image was one of the ones on the mirrors. The Wiki page used one, and David from the newsgroup said that he had no problems. The ESP seems to be 16-bit, but the bootloader can reach it.
I will look up the places you mentioned.
