usb 3.0 and mageia support

Postby adhefe » Sep 9th, '19, 02:06

I'm back to an old doubt on mageia's support for USB pendrives.

JoesCat in,
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12808&p=75043&hilit=pendrive#p75046
gave me an interesting explanation on why mageia seems to behave differently from other linuxes in what respects to USB pendrive's support,
but this seems not to explain what I see now.

I have one Kingston Data Traveler 100G3 64GB pendrive NTFS that can be stably mounted only in USB 3.0 ports in mageia 7. I also have another Kingston Data Traveler G4 8GB, NTFS formatted, that can be stably mounted equally well in ports 3.0 and 2.0.

So if any one can explain why the first pendrive (64GB) keeps mounting and unmounting if plugged in a USB 2.0 port while the other pedrive (8GB) doesn't, please, let me know.

Thanks in advance.
