while Mag6 kernel booted in BOCHs emu, Mag7 does not always

its a pity... Mageia 6 booted nicely in a rental server (like boot xyz.ISO at farnoX at 4€ / month) which has BOCHs in VM environment, then I upgraded to Mageia 7.

But I had to use the old M6 kernel - all was fine. The Mag-7 kernel kinda gets stuck in BOCHs VM

But later I managed to get the Mag7 kernel to work OK in a fresh install.

would be nice to fix this and release a proper MAGEIA 7 "server edition" with KDE

people will go mad over this! :P :P :P

You should probably report that as a bug, after searching if it hasn't been reported yet already: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_report_a_bug_properly

I installed one more time , then the Mageia 7 kernel did indeed boot.

But there are serious screen garbling issues I could not get rid of by fiddling around with all settings.

I go back to Mageia 6. M7 is not as stable and well-finished as M6.

Cauldron does not boot either.

And you think by not reporting bugs about your issues, they will magically fix themselves?
