Error MKLiveCD [DONE]

Postby astronom1987 » Jun 5th, '19, 10:30

In the process of creating an image, this error appears
Code: Select all
Creating compressed image:                         [100.00% 00:40:54/00:41:26]chmod: unable to access /tmp/mklivecd.4392/livecd/loopbacks/distrib-lzma.sqfs': There is no such file or directory=========================================== ]
DIE
FATAL: Execution of 'chmod 644 /tmp/mklivecd.4392/livecd/loopbacks/distrib-lzma.sqfs' failed

There is really no such file, but it is not clear why. What does this program do if it cannot do something for what it was created: add packages to the image of lzma.sqfs?
Sorry for my English, I use a translator

Sorry, but you're missing basically all context information.
How did you install mklivecd, as it's not in our repositories? What was the full command that you used for mklivecd ? What does the rest of the log say? What does your configuration look like ?
What do you actually want to achieve in particular?

Do you want to add some files or packages to an existing live image? What image would that be?

MKLiveCD is taken from here http://distro.ibiblio.org/unity-linux/r ... nt/x86_64/
For an image via MKLiveCD, the mklivecd command was simply used.
In the process of creating the image, there was no error other than this. But if necessary, I can provide a complete journal. MKLiveCD was launched on VirtualBox.
I wanted to try this program to find out if it can make a full-fledged live copy of the installed system - the LiveCD with my improvements. Except for MKLiveCD itself and MKRemaster did not install anything else. The final format must be .iso.

Well, you may want to ask some of the Unity Linux guys, or read some of the sparse mklivecd documentation, e.g. https://github.com/unity-linux/mklivecd/blob/master/FAQ
Some of the issues also mention some more context information that might be helpful: https://github.com/unity-linux/mklivecd/issues/7
For mkremaster, I believe that won't work at all as it hasn't been ported forward for newer distros, AFAIK.

Maybe just create an issue https://github.com/unity-linux/mklivecd/issues with the last part of the log output and ask for some help ...
