I have just used the useful utility cfg2html to list an enormous amount of information relating to my desktop PC sytem. The output also created a localhost.err file. In this file there are many pointers to the following line "The backup GPT table is corrupt, but the primary appears OK, so this will be used". I have no problems with my system at present and would have been oblivious to this error if I hadn't used cfg2html.
However, having highlighted this error, I am wondering what problems I am looking at in the future, especially if the "primary" somehow fails. Online searches points to somehow the Partition Table information being different in the two tables. With a working system, I'm loath to do anything that may crash the whole system - even though when the "primary" fails - I will probably have a crash.
What is the solution? I've seen reference to gdisk operations in Ubuntu forums - but with such delicate operations I'd like to be assured by Mageia users that I'm not going to screw things up prematurely using this command especially as there are many options to the gdisk command.
