Errors Updating Mageia 5

Hey Folks,

I am trying to update a Mageia 5 server and get a lot of errors like this:

file /usr/share/doc/bind/arm/Bv9ARM.ch01.html from install of bind-doc-9.10.5.P3-1.mga5.noarch conflicts with file from package bind-9.10.3.P4-1.2.mga5.i586

Any ideas on a resolution?

This just started within the last week or so.

A few questions first to know what's happening.

When you say update were you just installing regular updates, or trying to migrate to Mageia 6, now that Mageia 5 is at end of support???

How were you updating? Being a server I guess by command line? What exact command do you use?

Lastly, which repos do you have enabled and what mirror? Please show results of (as root):

I doubt a fix for this will be backported to mga5, see https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18997
You can simply uninstall bind-doc to get around this.

Did the uninstall and now all the Bind stuff updates.

Odd that Bind itself would not update anyway.

Since it's an old bug, I would hope it is fixed in Mageia 6. This is a real issue for some of us.
