am having a couple of issues with 0 AD ( http://wildfiregames.com/0ad/ )

Firstly is screen flicker- this is I believe is a problem with the refresh rate, which with my laptop defaults to 60hz which in general is fine. But with 0 ad I get flicker. If this rate is changed to auto the flicker goes, but on next boot we are back to 60 hz. is it possible to lock the refresh rate to auto?

second problem is when Ihaveor close the program , I am booted back to log in screen?
this is annoying .

For the first problem: Do you use any 3d desktop or KDE's desktop effects?
