[SOLVED] gid=live iso gid=bert with uid=bert

I had to reinstall Mageia 5 because of upgrade to Windows 10.
Now my uid=bert but my gid=live.
I had gid=bert in my previous Mageia 5 install.
How could this happen?

no idea how its happened, bug perhaps, but if its important you can fix it simple enough.

usermod -g bert bert

ive not tested the above, but thats what the man page infers

The group bert does not exist.
And gid=live has value 1000.
Is it possible to just rename the live group to bert ?
To be able to keep value 1000 ?

The name is just a representation, can be easily changed - same as the user name.

groupmod -n bert live

But there's no functional change, as the GID is the important thing. What you do is only cosmetics.
