Advice - Howto copy files to/from Android phone, Mageia

I can upload/download photos between my Mageia system and my Android smart phone.

I have music files on my Mageia system that I want to copy to the /Music folder on the external SD card. My attempts have failed. Solutions on the internet have not led to success. How would you recommend I do this? Thank you.

My attempts to mount the smart phone and copy the files using dolphin, almost work. By using a data USB cable, the system will mount the phone as a device. Dolphin then shows a file structure for both the internal phone memory, and the external SD card. The external SD card lists several folders, including Music. I can see some of the files on the external SD card in other folders. The music folder is empty, as I expected. Attempts to copy files to the music folder fail. Attempts to create an empty folder in the music folder also fail.

I do it just like that. Not sure why its not working for you.

Do you watch your phone when you connect? you should get a notification on your phone asking if you want to allow it.

Have you tried using an app on the phone as client to put the files in the SD?
I dont use SD but...

I use KDEConnect for occasional transfers. We have it packaged. It also copies clipboard, finds phone, control computer video/audio player etc
For continous sync I use Syncthing. Marvellous. Have also been using Nextcloud.

I shared a Samba drive on the Linux system and installed Cx File Explorer app on my phone. The app will upload and download files to/from the shared drive using a copy/paste paradigm. It is pretty seamless. The app works on any Windows share.
