[SOLVED] GTK2 version too old, or I'm wrong?

Postby semiletov » Sep 7th, '11, 14:30

Hello!
Why GTK 2 snipped with Mageia 1 has the 2.24 version number? There are a lot of GTK apps that uses GTK 2.4+ API functions, and, as far I know, even old Mandriva 2010.1 has the GTK 2.6 or higher (can't remember exactly).

Please look again more carefully:
2.24 > 2.6 > 2.4
24 is clearly a bigger minor version than 6 or 4, no? ;)
