Boot Dual Arch DVD [SOLVED]

If I boot the dual arch dvd disc using an AMD 64 system, it always wants to install the 64bit edition. How can I get it to boot and install for the 32bit edition? Is there a command at the boot prompt I can issue before starting the install process?

Not as far as I am aware.
If you want a 32bit install use either the Free DVD or the boot.iso CD image

If you were using the Dual Arch CD because you wanted a minimal install you can still do a minimal install using the Free DVD by declaring 'custom' package selection when it asks what type of install you want.

BTW: Similarly it is also possible to do a 'maxi' install with the Dual Arch CD by answering 'yes' and 'ftp' when it asks if you have other media. It will find itself an online repository for packages not on the CD

The main issue i'm having is I installed Linux Mint Debian Edition after Mageia and used LMDE grub as the default bootloader. When I choose Mga to boot, it gives a kernel panic, i'm not quite sure why, but I once tried to use Mga discs (livecd & install cd) to restore it's bootloader as the default but it would stop and show something about intrid. It seems it may be corrupt or something similar. I forget exactly what it showed.

Is there a way I can chroot into Mga partition and rebuild the intrid and how would I go about rebuilding it? I would like to try it, if possible, before reinstalling Mageia.

Mageia is on /dev/sda1
LMDE is on /dev/sda2
Swap is on /dev/sda3

Before trying to rebuild initd I would check out the grub configuration first.
What does your menu.lst look like?

I was using Linux Mint Debian Edition grub which uses Grub2 and there isn't a menu.lst file. IMO, that is what makes Grub2 more complicated in switching or adding other OSes to it.

Anyway, I reinstalled Mageia from the Gnome livecd and then was able to include Mga's grub to MBR, which added LMDE to the bootloader. All is well.

The install from the livecd went pretty good, no big issues and less software installed by default if I had used the dvd version. Since I'm using a low spec system, I prefer to keep it trimmed.

I found this after I did a reinstall of the 32bit livecd...

The strongest point of the Dual arch ISO, is it can be used to install either a 32bit system or an x86_64 system, the installer defaults to x86_64 when it detects a 64bit-capable CPU, but you can select which architecture gets installed from the initial graphical GRUB menu.
