Mageia as Raid storage server & iSCSI target

Postby NickC » Sep 23rd, '14, 17:00

Just wondering what opinions are about using Mageia 4.1 as a Raid storage server and iSCSI target. Are there any tools for creating and administering Raid arrays. What about iSCSI target, is that easy to setup.

Thanks,
Nick

theres a couple of errors, on that that i need to correct, but if you ignore them, then it will be a good hint/start

I do not see any reason why mAgeia would not work fine for this purpose. However, I think that FreeBSD with ZFS is probably a much better choice. I have many reasons for this, and I won't detail them all right now, but I do have a NAS deployed using nas4free which is FreeBSD based and I consider its performance to be outstanding.
