libXm.so.4

Postby pnunn » Jul 5th, '11, 06:20

Ladies and Gents, I'm trying to install the citrix ica client so that I don't have to constantly run a VM to use this stupid corporate IT environment.

Unfortunately when I try and install the rpm, it comes up with an error looking for libXm.so.4. I've done some digging around and have managed to find libtif-clients have libXm.so.2 but I can't find so.4 anywhere.

I need to install openmotif to get this working.

Any ideas?

Peter.

OK, some ideas...

- You can play by the rules and file a rpm request here https://bugs.mageia.org/enter_bug.cgi?p ... mat=guided and wait...
- you can force the install (install also liblesstif2) and create afterwards a link from liblesstif2's libXm.so.2.0.1 in the same /usr/lib/ folder, renaming it as libXm.so.4,
- or you can use the (frankly my dear, I don't give a damn ) method and install a mdv package that provides libXm.so.4, (masters will not approve of that, so not recommended).
