Asus Xonar Essence STX Line In Recording only mono

Hey, any help on this issue with be helpful.

The sound card I have is the Asus Xonar Essence STX. I thought that since the input is a 1/4 inch input, I would do some recording on my bass. I have the bass plugged in my amp (Orange CR25BX) with the line out on the amp going to the line in on the sound card. Now, the problem is that while the tone and everything else is really good, it is only recording in mono (left ear) when it should be in stereo. I have messed with several different settings, but to no avail. (FYI it does it in windows also) Considering I am the only one with this problem, I am guessing it is a software issue. So, if anyone out there could give me some tips or know why it is doing it, please share. Even though I think I have checked every setting, I may have missed something. Any help would be appreciated.
