I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "mn_MN.UTF-8"

Mongolia.

Hello.

I installed Mageia 2, choosing Mongolian as first language. When I have an ODF file with non ascii characters, like
"été.odt", opening it leads to a dialog box saying that the file doesn't exist,
and the file is not open. From the command line, I get also:
"$ soffice /home/henri/Documents/été.ods
I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "mn_MN.UTF-8""
Since this bug #7797
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7797
very bothersome for us here in Mongolia doesn't impassion the crowds, can anyone propose a better workaround than the one we have been using, changing one by one all the folders and files names containing Cyrillic characters? Or has anyone an idea about the way to fix the bug itself?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

can you please show the output of
Code: Select all
locale
and also of
Code: Select all
file -bi filename
on some text file?
You may also want to take a look at https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_2_Err ... e_settings

For the workaround, you could try to change all affected files with convmv to UTF-8 ...
