[SOLVED] phpmyadmin cannot be installed due to conflicts

Postby FiableDotBiz » Oct 22nd, '12, 10:54

Hello.

When I try to install PhpMyAdmin from Rpmdrake 5.34, I get the message:
Sorry, the following package cannot be selected:

- phpmyadmin-3.5.3-2.1.mga2.noarch (due to conflicts with php-mcrypt-5.3.17-2.mga2.x86_64)

Does anyone have an idea of the cause of this situation and any advice to give? Is there in Mageia another application with GUI to administer MySQL databases?

I use PhpMyAdmin successfully for internal web development. If I had similar situation with conflicts (it happens but rarely) I just removed conflicting package if I didn't need it.
