[Solved] Mesa tainted and Mesa core packages

Postby fraterlinux » Sep 1st, '12, 20:10

I have installed tainted mesa packages:

Code: Select all
$ rpm -qa |grep mesa
lib64mesaegl1-devel-8.0-1.mga2.tainted
lib64mesaglesv1_1-devel-8.0-1.mga2.tainted
lib64mesaglu1-8.0-1.mga2.tainted
lib64mesaegl1-8.0-1.mga2.tainted
mesa-8.0-1.mga2.tainted
lib64mesaglw1-7.11.2-5.mga2.tainted
lib64mesaglesv1_1-8.0-1.mga2.tainted
lib64mesagl1-8.0-1.mga2.tainted

I'm being prompted to upgrade by Core packages: lib64mesaglu1-8.0.2-2.mga2.x86_64

What is the difference between the packages mesa tainted and core? I can lose features updating by a free version without proprietary features? Why is there no tainted packages update? I need request in bugzilla update for tainted mesa?
