I am using the Lancelot widget as my application launcher. I have dual displays as separate x-windows. I am running the proprietary nVidia driver with Mageia 2. Desktop is KDE with KDM.
When I click on the Lancelot "button" on the panel on Display 0, the Lancelot menu pops up on the other display, Display 1. Clicking on Lancelot on the panel on Display 1, and the Lancelot menu still opens on Display 1.
When the menu is displayed from clicking on the launcher on Display 0, the menu is displayed at the height equal to the top of the panel on Display 0, which is 520 pixels higher than the panel on Display 1. Clicking on the Lancelot launcher on Display 1, and it opens at the top of the panel on Display 1, 520 pixels lower on the y axis than the menu brought about by clicking on the panel launcher on Display 0.
I have been through the configuration settings and found nothing related to this. The display and monitor settings in Settings doesn't think I have dual display, either because of the proprietary driver, or because of the separate X-window. Because of the separate x-window, each display operates more or less independently, although I can drag certain things between them (not application windows), and clearly there is the interaction outlined above.
I like the separate x-windows because I like the ability to adjust each screen individually, as the two displays are different types.
Any suggestions?
