IPv6 compatibility

This forum is dedicated to advanced help and support :

IPv6 compatibility

So I'm sure lots of us have heard about the switch
to IPv6. What does that mean for Mageia users?
To use a common test point:

http://test-ipv6.com/

My results are that I have a public IPv4 IP address
I do not have an IPv6 IP address
My current browser will continue to work after 6 Jun 2012, and it does
It appears that I will only be able to browse IPv4 websites, not IPv6 websites
My ISP's DNS server appears to have a IPv6 Internet access.

So does that mean we have to do something to Mageia/apps?
Does my cable modem need to be upgraded?
Does my ISP ( Cox Communication ) need to change something?

Nope, nope and yes.

Well, it might take another 20 years or so until all ISPs will switch on a wider scale to IPv6.
